I will be more diligent with the posts going forward, I appreciate you all reaching out to ask me when i would be writing my blog again. I have been doing a lot of social media along the way, but I appreciate you all as well.) Today I’m posting Tidbits Around Town.

Hope, change and progress for a better world.

“What if 2020 isn’t cancelled?⁣
What if 2020 is the year we’ve been waiting for?⁣
A year so uncomfortable, so painful, so scary, so raw — that it finally forces us to grow.⁣
A year that screams so loud, finally awakening us from our ignorant slumber.⁣
A year we finally accept the need for change.⁣
Declare change. Work for change. Become the change. A year we finally band together, instead of⁣
pushing each other further apart.⁣

2020 isn’t cancelled, but rather⁣
the most important year of them all.”⁣ (Leslie Dwight)
Congrats to Brad Luna and Adam Ouanes who were married Sunday June 7 at Church of St. Luke and The Epiphany with just a small group of friends and family in attendance. I followed their weeks leading up to the big day, and there was a lot of angst surrounding Covid19 and guests, but they went ahead with the nuptials, and are planning to celebrate with friends in the near future with Covid19 in the rear mirror. Congrats boys!!

Speaking of weddings, Kerry Anne and Michael Gordon were initially meant to have their dream wedding on May 26, 2020. But as the COVID-19 pandemic made it clear that their original date would need to be postponed, the couple set their sights on a new concept: a “micro” wedding on June 6, 2020 at the Logan Hotel. Check out the rest of their wedding story HERE, And as I stated in my post Do Better when posting other photographers photos and give them credit. For example a photo from the wedding was re-posted by the Today Show, and everyone who re-posted it gave the Today Show credit, and not the photographer Linda McQueen, the couple’s wedding photographer. Creatives deserve proper credit and so does Linda. It’s very exciting to have a photo/video go viral, as well as the message the picture depicts.

So long beautiful restaurant in the sky.

Vera Massi: To all my face book friends, today (Tuesday) we had the sad news that R2L restaurant my 2nd home for the last 10 years is closing its doors forever! It was the best place to work and i have made so many friends along the way! To those i have worked with i hope our paths cross again. There will never be another R2L! *******

I loved R2L, I first went there for Sabrina Thorne‘s Lady Gaga Birthday party, which was held a week before it opened. My friends had a surprise birthday party for me there, I attended Erin Elmore and Craig Spitzer’s wedding there as well as Kiley & Brian Stevenson’s wedding reception last year. I’ll miss Chef Daniel Stern, and the crew at R2L, and the Barbra Streisand table (Table 94) with the view of South Philly. It’s true, when Babs was in town for the opening gala for the National Museum of American Jewish History, she dined afterwards with hunky husband James Brolin and friends at Philly’s only restaurant with a higher than a tree top view at the time. The cast of Paranoia with Liam Hemsworth and Harrison Ford had their wrap party there as well. The Jersey Shore cast had a party there once with Vinny Guadagnino, Sammi Giancola, and yes Snooki showed up and got smashed. So many happenings, good food, and celebrities at the hip night spot. Thanks for the memories.
