In these waning days of summer, I’m playing catch up with events photographed for PCC. If we get to next Friday and you’re event doesn’t pop up I apologize as the Fall 2014 Social Season begins and I must start anew with social party photos. August 27th: Two lanes in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum will be closed,
beginning at 5:00 A.M. These lanes will not re-open until the removal of the
staging and equipment following the final concert, or by Tuesday morning. The
festivities will end by 11:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 31st.
August 28th: The inner lanes of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway (the inbound and
outbound lanes), from 22nd Street to Eakins Oval, will be closed until Tuesday,
September 2nd.
August 29th: Due to the closure of the inner lanes on the Benjamin Franklin
Parkway, traffic for Friday morning rush hour headed inbound (to Center City)
from Spring Garden Street Bridge or Martin Luther King Drive must exit Eakins
Oval on the 24th Street ramp. Traffic headed inbound on Kelly Drive must exit

(the eastern half of the block from the Whole Foods market to 20th Street will
remain open to allow access to the store)
Westbound off-ramp at 22nd Street (the I-676 Eastbound off-ramp at 23rd Street
will be open)
Pennsylvania Avenue between 22nd Street & Fairmount Avenue (south side of
street)
Street between the Benjamin Franklin Parkway & Race Street (both sides of
street)
Made in America event preparations, SEPTA Bus Routes 7, 32, 33, 38, and 43 will
be detoured around the festival area, beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August
29 through early-morning on Monday, September 2. Specific route detours are
posted on the System Status Page at www.septa.org
late-night service also will be available on SEPTA’s Regional Rail Lines on
Saturday and Sunday Nights departing Center City. Suburban and 30th Street
Stations are in closest walking distance to the festival. Special schedules are
posted in stations and online at http://septa.org/events/pdf/2014-08-made-in-america-rr-service.pdf
participants also can use the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines. Train
service will operate for 24 hours Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, replacing
the usual Nite Owl Bus Service. Trains operate every 20 minutes, between
midnight and 5:00 A.M., with additional frequencies before and after those
times. Race-Vine and City Hall stations on the Broad Street Line and 15th
Street Station on the Market Frankford Line provide easy walking access to the
Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Additional information regarding late-night subway

It’s the dog days of August, except it’s really not as the weather has been perfect. I headed to the Zoo this week to shoot a country western concert put on by WXTU starring Country singer Brett Eldredge. We’re back with people and event shots tomorrow.
I had a little time to explore the zoo in between the feeding of the giraffe’s and concert, so I took a few pixs.

Budweiser Made in America festival returns to Philadelphia for the third consecutive year
Festival benefits the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and United Way of Lancaster County Budweiser Made in America festival is the first American festival to run simultaneously on both coasts as there will be a Made in America going on in LA too. Kanye West is performing at both festivals, kicking off the weekend in Philadelphia (his performance is Saturday Night), then closing the show in LA on Sunday night.
