Radnor Township and Radnor Police announced the official addition of
their inaugural K-9 Police team during a ceremony held at Land Rover
Jaguar of the Main Line in Wayne.

The dogs are important resources to
the department but were not even an option until the community stepped
in. Specifically, local business owner Michael Smyth of The Great
Britains Automotive Group, who proudly sponsored the K-9 Unit, by
providing a special Black Pack Edition Land Rover LR4. The 2014 LR4 is
specially fitted and will be used by the department to transport the
expertly trained K-9 duo, ‘Rover’ and ‘Discovery.’

Mike Toub and HughE Dillon’s Wedding & Honeymoon Album

Mike and I are about to celebrate our 20th year together July 16. Over the years we had seen many of our friends travel all over the country and Canada to get married, and although we could have we always said we would wait until it was legal in Pennsylvania. A few weeks ago I told Mike I don’t think it’s going to happen for a while, in fact a LGBT lobbyist told us it wasn’t going to happen for another 5 years, so we started talking about getting married in Delaware as there are a few things we wanted to protect legally in our union.

Surprise, surprise Marriage Equality passed in Pennsylvania last week. It was a whirlwind week as Mike and I decided we would take the plunge as soon as possible. Then came the news that marriages would happen Friday and Saturday at City Hall:

Judges who have volunteered to perform marriage ceremonies on Saturday included: President Judge Sheila Woods-Skipper, Judge Daniel J. Anders, Judge Diana Louise
Anhalt, Judge Ann Butchart, and Judge Joseph D. O’Keefe. Mayor Nutter also performed marriage ceremonies today.

Thanks to everyone who was there on the special day. I know a lot of my friends were sad they weren’t there, and I told many of them we would do a blessed ceremony, we decided not to. It was a great day, and we appreciate all the love and support you all showed us through SM, calls and emails.

So many people asked us about them, and the choice of color.

Rita Addessa lead the forefront of LGBT rights in Philly during the 70s through mid 00s. I used to see her on TV during the morning shows broadcast in Philly, and she re-assured me there were others out there like me. Mike and I used to volunteer for her organization (GLBT Task Force) in the 90 – 00s.

was a truly historic day in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and
another victory in the long fight for equality and freedom for every
American,” said
Mayor Nutter. I was honored to
join the judges to officiate a few unions myself, and hopefully, I
will perform many more ceremonies in the future. Uniting two people in
marriage is one of my favorite official duties to perform as Mayor of our great city.”

(I got my ring at Garland of Letter’s 10 minutes before they closed on Friday night. I love it. Symbols mean happiness and luck. Mike bought his somewhere else on South Street. He’s currently in the market for another one.)

He threw me a great bachelor party at Chima Steakhouse too. (With Emily Tharp, it was her bday)

We headed over to XIX restaurant at the Bellevue for a post wedding lunch. It was delicious and the perfect spot. Thanks to Christie, Kory, Phyllis and Stacey Kracher for lunch. So sweet.

I had always planned to surprise Mike with a trip to Chincoteague for Memorial Day Weekend. So instead of leaving on Friday, we left on Sunday and had them most blissful commune with nature for 24hrs.

We stayed at Comfort Suites. We called them at 9PM Sunday night and Dana found us a beautiful suite for $180 with this view. (Hampton Inn next door only had a smoking, double for $225, yuck.)

I tweeted about being at the John Legend Afterparty at Volver the other night. It was nice to be invited, unfortunately Legends team was ixney on taking photos, but when I saw he was willing to pose for cell phone shots, I was right there (this is the longest run on sentence ever.)

Wife Chrissy was not at the party, but was later seen on the tour bus returning to NYC, while Legend spent the night at the Ritz, flying out of PHL to LA to appear on the finale of America Idol.

Happy Birthday today Billy Riddle, here with his boo – Chef Jennifer Carroll. Jen’s been working the last month or so at Marcus Samuelsson Red Rooster Harlem. She’s preparing to run his pop-up restaurant at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda for the month of July. So if you’re going stop by.

Wednesday night about 100 of Philly’s sunbathing beauties attended the opening party of Cameo Water Wear at their new location 1503 Walnut St.
Although most are hitting the beach this weekend, they did indulge on
delicious bites from B Smith Catering, and enjoy drinks from Clique
Vodka and other spirits to the tunes of Eddie Tully spinning on the
turntable.

The wait is finally over! ‘Budweiser
Made In America,’ the two-day music festival that has become a staple of
Labor Day weekend, has announced the 2014 Philadelphia lineup,
including headliners
Kanye West and Kings Of Leon!

Philadelphia Lineup:

Made in America has revealed the 2014 lineup for its Philadelphia
festival. The two-day event, curated by Jay Z, takes place August
30th-31st at Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Jay Z’s pal Kanye West and Kings of Leon will serve as this year’s
headliners. Other notable acts include The National, Pharrell Williams,
Spoon, Grimes, Chromeo, Girl Talk, and De La Soul.

The lineup also includes Tiësto, Danny Brown, J. Cole, Holy Ghost!,
Mayer Hawthorne, City and Colour, The Neighbourhood, AWOLNATION, Baauer,
YG, Bleachers, Steve Aoki, and Destructo.

As previously reported,
Made in America will simultaneously hold a second festival in Los
Angeles over Labor Day weekend. That lineup is still forthcoming.

Tickets to both festivals are currently available through MadeinAmericaFest.com.

The lineup was unveiled simultaneously
on the music festivals Instagram and Twitter channel via a series of
custom innovative neon 3D posters created by designer, Rizon Parein.

of talent, today’s line up unveil also incorporated some groundbreaking

A lot of times people leave notes on my FB page, tweet me etc of their good news. Sometimes I will find it myself. Once a week I’m going to put it on PCC under #PCCBuzz so you’ll know to surf in and see what’s going on around you, new business, things of interest and the people it’s happening to.

Chelsea Wurzak marries Brian Govberg at the Plaza in NYC. She’s now going to go by Chelsea Govberg. Their names may be familiar, they are from two very prominent Philadelphia families. The Wurzak’s are developers in the area, specializing in hotel’s. The Govberg’s are into jewelery, but they also co-own Whisper and G Lounge. *Get it “G” Lounge. Both kids are super sweet, and down to earth. Congrats!!

Congrats to Anne Nikolaus and Paul Pereira who got engaged last weekend at the Morris Arboretum.

They met a year ago at Amber Gomes and Pedro Gomes wedding in Newport RI. I’ve always heard that was a great place to meet a beau. (Kevin Feiner jewelery custom made Anne’s gorgeous ring.)

Happy Birthday Casey Anderson. It was at Casey and Jason Duran’s engagement party I met Maria Papadakis a second time 5.5 years ago, and then we became good friends.

Photos from historic day: Yo Gay’s You Can Marry in Pennsylvania Now – Mark Segal Gets Sworn In To Process Licenses

What a whirlwind 24 hrs. It was an emotional day, a joyous day, I felt validated as a gay man because as I tweeted yesterday it was less than 30 years ago that being gay was designated as a mental illness;

it was one of the happiest days of my life, not only because I can marry my partner of 20 years, Mike Toub, but maybe lives will be saved. Kids won’t kill themselves because being gay is stigmatized or their families disown them, friends turn their backs on them, perhaps bullying will be water downed just a little bit because the government says gays deserve rights too, like the right to marry. Lives will be saved.

I ran over to City Hall as soon as I could to capture the joyous moments, like Lindsay and Ashley. FIVE years ago they met at Sisters, and have been together ever since. On Friday Lindsay Vandermay was scheduled to be at City Hall to changed her name to incorporate Ashley Wilson’s name, now they’re scheduled to get married and do the name change.

Mark was headed to City Hall to be sworn in to issue marriage licenses, and in the cab over they both said hey why don’t we get married. Makes sense, the duo have been together for 10 years. Photos & Unique Auction Items at the Richie Ashburn-Harry Kalas Foundation

You know what I love about the Phillies, win or lose they champion charity causes. Last week I headed over to the Union League and hit up the Jimmy Rollins Family Foundation “Bollywood Nights.”

A few nights before that I was at the Richie Ashburn-Harry Kalas Foundation dinner Morton’s. In year’s gone by Ryan Howard hosted his “Celebrity Server Night”at Morton’s, and that was always fun. He hasn’t done that in a bit, but now the Ashburn-Kalas Foundation has picked up the bat, and for the past 2 years they’ve had their charity dinner there.

These events are more intimate and fans have a chance to get up close and personal with their hometown heroes, in addition to bidding on fun silent auction items.
