Parkway & Kelly Drive Road Closures 2025

Parkway & Kelly Drive Road Closures 2025 : It’s that time of year along the Parkway and Kelly Drive when Charity Runs, Parades, activations and Regatta’s take place and we need to be prepared to take alternative traffic routes to get around. Here’s the list so far, but I will update it as we go forward.

This Sunday is the Love Run.

What we have so far for interruptions along the Parkway. The City issues press releases for specific road closures as the date approaches. The Kelly Drive Regatta List, below this one, is more complete.

Saturday, April 5 – Hot Chocolate 15K  

Sunday, April 6 – Greek Independence Day Parade  

Sunday, April 20 – Jewish Martyrs Memorial Service  – 16th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway,

Thursday, April 24 – Sunday, April 27 – 2025 Philadelphia Show  

Saturday, April 26 – Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Armenian Heritage Walk   

Thursday, May 1 – The Franklin Institute Gala, 20th street in front of the museum is usually closed from 4pm until 10pm

Friday, May 16 – Sunday, May 18 – Portal to Universal Studios Epic Universe  – Activation on the Art Museum Steps

Saturday, May 24 – Georgian Culture Day  

Saturday, May 3 – MS Walk  

Check Out the Office of Special Events for a listing of Street Closures through out the City. As we approached each date, we will have a better understanding of which streets are affected.

May 15-17: Schuylkill Navy’s Stotesbury Cup Regatta. Host: Schuylkill Navy. Time: Fri& Sat, 8:00-6:00 pm. (Clear Launching Area and Race Course above Girard by 7:15 am).  KELLY DRIVE CLOSED THURSDAY AT 10 AM AND OVERNIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY.

June 7: Independence Dragon Bat Regatta. Host: Phila Dragon Boat Association. Time: 8:00-6:00 pm. KELLY DRIVE CLOSED AT 6 AM.

June 14: Schuylkill Navy Regatta. Host: Schuylkill Navy. Time: 8:00-6:00 pm. KELLY DRIVE CLOSED AT 6 AM.

Jul 4-6: Schuylkill Navy’s Independence Day Regatta. Host: Schuylkill Navy. Time: 8:00-6:00 pm. KELLY DRIVE CLOSED AT 6 AM AND OVERNIGHT.

Don’t Even Think Of Driving in Center City This Weekend – Take SEPTA

The Philadelphia Marathon ROAD CLOSURES 2016

Some of the major areas impacted include:

The Benjamin Franklin Parkway Friday, November 18 through Sunday, November 20
Citywide along the 26.2-mile route of the Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday, November 20
The I-676 off-ramps at 22nd Street (westbound) and 23rd Street (eastbound) will be closed on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20 after 4 a.m. for event security preparation. Ramps at 15th/Broad may also close, if needed.

Friday, November 18
The outer lanes of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be closed, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., on Friday, November 18. At 3:30 p.m., all lanes will be opened for the afternoon rush hour.

Saturday, November 19

For the Half Marathon, due to enhanced security, City of Philadelphia “no-parking” regulations will be enforced strictly and all vehicles on the race route will be relocated, beginning at 2 a.m. on Saturday, November 19. Drivers impacted are encouraged to contact Philadelphia Parking Authority at 215-683-9550.

Street closures will be in effect for the Philadelphia Half Marathon, Rothman Institute 8K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, from 2 a.m. until 3 p.m., along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, between 20th to 25th Streets, and also on Kelly Drive, Martin Luther King Drive, and numerous other roads in Center City (see complete list below). Signage labeled “no parking” will be posted in the Parkway area, and elsewhere, along the race course in advance. On Saturday, the vicinity near 18th Street and the Parkway, and the Logan Circle area will be closed to vehicular traffic until 11:30 a.m.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect significant delays when trying to cross roads or streets that are adjacent to the course. Police will allow traffic through intersections along the course, when possible, depending on the flow of the race participants. All streets are scheduled to be reopened by 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 19.

Sunday, November 20

The Budweiser Clydesdale Philly Schedule & Made In America Street Closures Info

Budweiser Made in America Concert Street Closures AND Clydesdale Meet and Greet

The Budweiser Made in America Concert will take place on the Parkway this Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, 9/3 and Sunday, 9/4 from 12pm to 12am each day.   There will be extensive street closings as is every year. This year the concert production promises to turn the speakers away from the neighborhood in an effort to cut down the noise. Made

It’s a great event, but know that traffic in the area is snarled and it’s quite difficult to go from one side of the City to the other anywhere above 20th Street. So STAY AWAY. There is no Re Entry on tickets either. Once you go in you must stay or forfeit your right to return unless you buy an additional ticket.Made
