Chestnut Hill Retailers Join Together for Virtual Fall Fashion Show 10/15/20

Join the Chestnut Hill Business District and several popular retailers (listed below) as they present the Second Chestnut Hill: Fashion’s Night In on Thursday, October 15. To ensure the safety of participating stores and models, retailers will stream from their stores and have the opportunity to showcase various outfits and discuss individual pieces while also answering questions from customers. Chestnut Hill Fashion’s Night In is meant to connect local businesses to the people that matter most — their loyal customers.

The 45-minute virtual fashion show will be hosted by Philadelphia fashion influencer Dani Maiale.

Viewers have two ways to watch the show. The fashion show will be streamed on Facebook Live on the Chestnut Hill Pa. FB Page or patrons can register for free and watch the show on Zoom (link below).

Tuesday ToDo: Jordan Matthews, Village People Sing, Fashion Events

It’s Tuesday, I forgot a few ChitChat items yesterday and thought I’d do another column today. Plus added a few Tuesday – ToDo listing events that are upcoming.

Matthews
Congrats to former Eagles player Jordan Matthews and his new wife Cheyna Matthews (an American soccer player who plays as a forward for Washington Spirit in the NWSL) on their wedding, which took place in Nashville this past weekend.
A few of Jordan’s former Eagles teammates Trey Burton, Zach Ertz, Jordan Hicks, and Chris Maragos headed out to celebrate the new couple.

Congrats to Rocky on his new baby sister who will arrive in July. Larry Bradley and Kristin Huxta Bradley are pretty excited too. Kristin is Director of Communications, East for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and used to be a Cashman girl a few years back.

Thanks to Schulson Collection for their generous donation to Komen Philadelphia. In October they sold a cocktail in to raise funds in the name of fighting breast cancer, called “Pink Lady”. Michael Schulson and Nina Tinari Schulson hosted a luncheon for leaders, and volunteers of Komen Philadelphia at Double Knot last week to present the check.

The venerable Joan Sheep boutique is hosting their annual Women of Style & Substance celebration tomorrow night. Fashionistas, business leaders and trail blazing women will be honored at the annual event, which is open to the public.

Speaking of fashion, it’s that time again for the Philly Fashion Week to kick off a series of the most talented Philadelphia fashionable designers in Philly. The first event is 8PM Wednesday with the Lux Street Wear Show at 2300 Arena , 2300 S Swanson St., Philadelphia, PA 19148. Check out the website for more info. Philly Fashion Week

Our Night Out, a fun LGBTQ networking event is next Tuesday at Cinder 1500 Locust Street. Enjoy lite bites, and a cash bar while meeting a greeting with new friends.

Did you get your tickets yet for the Philly Flower Show. Don’t forget to dance the night away at  Flowers after Hours with the Village People and DJ Robert Drake on Saturday March 3.

Plan Ahead in January Wayne Brady at Parx Casino new Xcite Center. Parx is just about to unveil their new event space, and additional gaming room. First up is the Sold Out concert by Chicago on January 13, or as I like to call it, a few days before I head to Florida. I’ll be going though, I love me some Chicago. Then Wayne Brady will be at the Xcite Center. He’s hysterical, I watch Let’s Make A Deal nearly everyday and he cracks me up.TICKETS HERE
