Lisa Stein tells her daughter’s story about needing a liver transplant, and the difficulties of driving back and forth from the shore during one of the most stressful periods that could occur in peoples lives. Erica did finally receive a transplant and is doing well today.
Chef/Owner Marc Vetri (Vetri, Osteria, Amis) urges other restaurants to follow his lead in preparing meals for the House. If everyone just took the first Monday, Tuesday etc we could fill the schedule with a different restaurant or group of people preparing dinners for people who’s family is in crisis and are staying at the House.
