More Fashion & Fun at the 12th Annual Red Ball

Last Saturday the Red Ball was held at the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park. Nearly 1300 people attended the black tie gala and proceeds ($300,000) benefit the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Red Cross and
the Red Cross House – the Center for Disaster Recovery, a one-of-a-kind short-term housing facility in West Philadelphia. Every year, hundreds of local families find refuge at this facility and begin their recovery from fires, floods and other disasters.

Guests at the annual “red tie gala” sampled culinary delights prepared by Philadelphia’s hottest chefs and for the second year got the chance to vote for their favorite restaurant. Guests danced the night away with entertainment provided by CTO World Entertainment Productions, enjoyed the museum’s exhibits, mingled with Philadelphia’s social and business leaders, bid on luxury items in the silent auction, and learned more about the mission of the Red Cross. The VIP room, sponsored by Exelon and catered by Max and Me, featured carousel rides, a cigar bar, and gift bags.

The End. PS Thanks for your patience this week with my posting. I did a lot of posting over at PhillyMag.com and that takes up a lot of time. Each entry on either site, takes about 2-3hrs to write. Then you know I was caught up in that Kate Gosselin mess. In hindsight I wonder if it was all for publicity for her. Or what photo did she think I took, and worse why are people so obsessed with her.
