Cute Instagrams of Dogs at Paws Mutt Strut Saturday

As I mentioned on my WOGL Friday segment, the PAWS 11th Annual Mutt Strut happened on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Navy Yard. Dogs and the people who love them enjoyed a fall festival and walked the scenic route in the Navy Yard some in their cutest Halloween finest and funniest. Last year’s Mutt Strut raised over $120,000 for PAWS’ lifesaving efforts.

Best Parties of The Week Decor Pixs, details and Links to Media Placements

Best Parties of The Week Decor Pixs, details and Links to Media Placements
PS On Friday’s I will post as many links to where our photos are placed in the media as possible.

WOW what a social season. So many exciting events happening, raising funds for so many great causes, and then there’s the fashion and decor at the gala. People ask me all the time, how do I chose who’s photo to use in my columns. It definitely matters what you’re wearing, it doesn’t have to be a designer label, it just has to be eye catching. Also they way you posed, often I help people out. I take the initial photo, then I show them the photo to see what they think. If there’s a flaw and they don’t catch it, I will tell them what I’d like them to do in the 2nd shot. Then I show them and they usually have that a-ha moment.
Thursday to Wednesday 10/5 – 10/12, there are some photos still to be published but I’m at the mercy of my editors….

Glass Movie Updates: James McAvoy, Bruce Willis Spotted

Ahhh made it through another week. Sorry I haven’t keep up with my twice weekly gossip column, skipping Monday, but it’s been so busy. Here’s Friday’s edition. Plus follow me on twitter as I do drop a lot of info there all day long. Like this nugget. @HughE_Dillon

McAvoyThe guys were filming on Allegheny Ave in North Philly on Monday, in the dang rain, and then did interiors at the Frankford Arsenal, luckily all interiors. You won’t see any photos as the trailers and craft services is located inside the fence.

McAvoy
James McAvoy arrived in Philly Saturday morning, after McAvoy finished filming the latest XMen movie in Montreal. First stop Saturday – Federal Donuts for a chicken sandwich. He was nice enough to pose for a few fans who asked.

Team Derek was on hand to welcome Sarah Paulson to Philly on Tuesday. She was sporting her best Annie Hall look, and smiled nicely. Welcome to PhillyWood Sarah.

McAvoy

I made my first on air appearance on CBS3Philly to chat about the Glass movie with lots of fun tidbits. Thanks so much to folks who allowed me to use their photos and who send me tips.
I ran out of time on TV to mention that Mattei  Family Pizza sent the crew pizza’s to the set on Friday,

McAvoy

which was at 21st and Shunk. Seen on the set was his model Emma Heming Willis visiting the set of ‘Glass’. Bruce Willis must have had pizza on his mind as he and Emma were spotted at Pizzeria Vetri on Saturday. The tarp wrapped around the building is just to make sure the ambient light is even during the filming.

McAvoy
Pick up the latest Elle Decor where you’ll find the Willis family on the cover, and inside an article by M. Night Shyamalan.

BTW M. Night will be presenting Bruce Willis with the Philadelphia Film Festival’s second annual Lumiere Award at a ceremony Oct. 23 (which I have already been tapped to shoot, so come back on 10/24 to see the photos). The award will be presented by last year’s inaugural award winner, director M. Night Shyamalan, who is also on the board now with the Philadelphia Film Festival, which opens on October 19, 2017. Willis has filmed several times in Philly, besides Night’s Unbreakable, and Sixth Sense, he filmed Twelve Monkey’s here with Brad Pitt.

McAvoy
Earlier this week Twitter blew up thinking Glass was filming near Independence Hall. Actually that film was another in a series of Sam Katz‘s Philadelphia: The Great Experiment. Look for the film to play on 6ABC next year.

M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Glass’ Starts Filming – The First Week Update

The First Week of M. Night Shyamalan’s’s Movie Glass in Philly

Good Friday. Hope you guys had a great week. The weather this weekend is going to be unbelievable. My recommendations for a fun time: The Midtown Village Festival on Saturday in and around 13th Street bordered by Walnut and Chestnut. Besides the great beer and food, there’s a meet and greet with Philly Union Players. Best spot – McGillin’s. Old City Fest on Sunday – Third Street , Market to Race Streets. Philly.com has the run down.  Plus it’s Outfest  on Sunday in the Gayborhood. 12 – 6 PM  centered at 13th and Locust St.

Night
M Night broke the internet on Monday. In an uncharacteristic manner Night, who is usually super secret, has tweeted about the upcoming Glass movie, from location scouting to hints on film plots but nothing blew up the internet like the above tweet he did on Monday.  I answered back wondering where he made this tweet, knowing he was filming inside the Guerrin Rec Center in South Philly. Night
Then I remembered the film truck had wooden floors. So I’m going to guess that’s where it was taken. I took this shot Tuesday as they unloaded the camera’s in Old City where they were filming a scene at the comic book store Brave New Worlds.

Night
The Old City Set on Tuesday. None of the major characters were on site, but two of M Night alumni from Split and Unbreakable were seen.
Night
Actress Anya Taylor-Joy (Split) is seen on set of ‘Glass’ carrying a bag of comics. They’re not using real comics, but art work from local Philly artists found through Bluestone Fine Gallery in Old City.

Night
Extras outside the comic store, Brave New World 55 N 2nd St,. The guy in the green shirt is a Production Assistant (PA)

Night
Anya Taylor-Joy  would come out of the comic store, and then run into the building next door, basically to avoid the paparazzi camera’s. Rather odd for a minor actor.

Night
Actor Spencer Treat Clark (Unbreakable) was just added to the cast last week, and appeared on set the 2nd day of filming. I like how he brings his own “cast chair”

Night
Then it was lunch time and Anya Taylor-Joy  headed for her car to take her to her trailer. In the background is her stand in. Note the PA on the left stopping traffic on 2nd Street.
Hot Production Assistant literally stopping traffic

Night
Last night to tease my weekly appearance on WOGL I noted how I wasn’t disappointed that Bruce Willis wasn’t on the set Tuesday since the PA was not too shabby. You know every once in a while I’m on the look out for a guy for my readers.
Metro Philly Online wrote a little about him.

night
And it turns out I was right, folks agreed he was something else. I have since learned his name is

Chris Wright Jr. shared your post. 14 hrs · Chad Hamilton, (I picked Chad as the Hot Crowd Control Guy last year on the It’s Always Sunny in Philly Set [google it it comes up} we have something in common now Show Attachment Chris is single.

10-6-2017 5-59-21 AM (Custom)
Tuesday night the film headed over to Dinic’s ie dive bar. It was fairly hard to grab shots my friends told me, as the windows were closed probably to keep the light even inside on the set. (I was covering the Mad Rex opening.)

Strauss renting out bathroom (Custom)
Nearby Taproom on 19th was supplying a clean bathroom for crew

10-6-2017 12-10-15 AM (Custom)
Bruce didn’t make an appearance at Taproom on 19th but Michael Strauss got this shot.
Night
MNightShyamalan continues to film in South Philly near Melrose Diner. It’s not much of a secret anymore as each night the neighborhood lines the street, sits on stoops and gathers on porches.
This is a scene from 19th and Ritner where they filmed in a private residence. Wednesday they filmed in a “security store” across from Melrose Diner. Today look for them in the same area.

10-5-2017 11-41-32 PM (Custom)

Thursday night M Night filmed extras and stunt doubles at the 15th and Snyder Broad Street Line stop. The trains stopped there, and a very nice strap handler sent me this photo – thanks!!

10-6-2017 7-36-20 AM (Custom)

I was covering the Bartram Garden’s Twilight Gala. It’s social season after all. Can’t wait for Creed to come, it films in the winter when Social Season is slow. 10-5-2017 11-40-52 PM (Custom)
Check back on Sunday as I have more Glass movie tidbits. Hope to see you tonight at

Brauhaus Schmitz Oktoberfest at the Armory.
