Thurs Chit Chat: Fly Eagles Fly, Perry Milou, Jon Bon Jovi; Boat House Row Problems

Eagles fever is at a pitch. I don’t know how many videos I’ve gotten of groups singing “Fly Eagles Fly”, and so exciting that the response has been huge with my Steve Martin video going viral with over 100ks impression. So many photos, so much fun, I’m exhausted. Hopefully the players are getting adequate sleep. BTW follow me on social media,  for nearly 12 hours of Wing Bowl coverage. This is the year we have all been waiting for….phillychitchat

Milou

American pop artist  Perry Milou will be finishing touches on his Eagles masterpiece “Next Dog Up” inside the Joan Shepp storefront window Saturday, February 3rd 2-6pm. The store will be also having an Eagles-themed “fashion tailgate” with a special promotion in-store as well.

#FlyEaglesFly

I know we’re not supposed to talk about the Eagles victory parade, but yesterday I saw Fred Stein and his son on the Parkway. Who’s Fred Stein, he’s the event producer the City of Philly uses for all there big events. The rumors floated by Crossing Broad that the parade will go up Broad Street, around City Hall to the Art Museum may be true, very unlike what happened with the Phillies game, which went down Market Street around City Hall to the stadium.  CB also said he heard rumors that the parade would be Wednesday, I too heard Wednesday. Someone wanted to book me for an event on Tuesday and I turned them down saying I think the parade will be that day. The person who has a connection to City Hall said he’d heard the parade would be Wednesday as the Chamber of Commerce’s Mayoral Lunch is on Tuesday. Oh that makes sense, it’d be hard to reschedule that and re book the room at the Marriott.  With a win maybe I’ll get another roomful singing #FlyEaglesFly?

Eagles fever was all over the City, and even appeared at the Academy of Music Anniversary Concert & Ball when Mrs. Matthew Hamilton ie Anne Hamilton , draped an Eagles flag around her beautiful, full length gown.
******
Shot Through The Heart….Jon Bon Jovi is rooting for the Patriots but we’ll let him slide he’s been fighting homelessness in Philly for over a decade now. On April 14th he’ll be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He just created his own wine and this week he was in Philly
On Wednesday SEPTA, Project HOME and the City of Philadelphia cut the ribbon to officially open the new, expanded Hub of Hope in the Center City sub-concourse. Special guest was the legendary rock star Jon Bon Jovi, longtime supporter of fighting homelessness in Philadelphia and friend of Sr. Mary Scullion, who along with many dignitaries at the event wore a green boutineer in honor of the Eagles.  There was no singing Fly Eagles Fly or even saying Go Eagles, as Bon Jovi is a Patriot’s fan and they didn’t want to make the situation awkward for him. He and Sister Mary met because 13 years ago he was in town for a concert. He spotted a homeless man outside his hotel window shivering. He asked his assistant to go help him find shelter, and that’s how he discovered Project Home and met Sister Mary and Joan McConnon , co founders of the program. Ever since he’s been a real patriot to the program. Project Home a nationally recognized organization that provides supportive housing, employment, education and health care to enable chronically homeless and low-income persons to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
Jon Bon Jovi Loves France and Wine (and Now Has His Own Label)

May 3 Bon Jovi is in concert at the Wells Fargo Center

All those Boat House Row Photos you’re seeing for the past two weeks, #FAKENEWS
Boat House Row was only green leading up to the NFC game for one week.

Something that is offensive, Boat House Row is not bleeding green. It’s been two weeks now. If you see photos of it being green it’s not, the LED lights are shining bright white. Why? This is crazy, I thought it was easy to just change the color on them. They were only green for the week leading up to the NFC Championship.
Congrats to Jamie Greubel, Newtown, Pa’s and the women’s USA Bobsled team participating in the Olympics in South Korea later this month.

Mark William Calaway, better known by the ring name The Undertaker, an American professional wrestler signed to WWE and his wife Michelle McCool flew in to Philly on Friday night, and stopped to see Rocky on Saturday afternoon.

Congrats to Geoff Peirce  and Samantha Keenan now Peirce  who were married Sunday a week ago at the Crystal Tea Room. You might recall that Geoff was a guy I photographed doing a series of hard core burpees on the Art Museum steps, the press dubbed him “Hottie on the Art Museum Steps.” He went on to be Philly Famous garnering a lot of press, appearing on Fox 29 and doing push ups with Alex Holley on his back, and then being named one of the sexist singles in Philly by Jeniece Armstrong‘s annual series in the Philly Daily News. Samantha recognized Geoff after all the press, and it was love at first sight. They were nice enough to invite me to their beautiful wedding.

In preparation for the annual Take the Lead event in March, at which PECO is the Lead Sponsor, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP) The 2018 Take the Lead Philadelphia Honorees were feted at a special preview party on January 24 at the Nicole Miller store at the Bellevue.
This year, GSEP will recognize the following women:

The Best Dressed of the 161st Anniversary Concert and Ball

The 161st Anniversary Concert and Ball was celebrated Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Academy of Music and Hyatt at the Bellevue. A sold out crowd enjoyed a pre cocktail party, a spectacular concert by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Philadelphia Orchestra along with special guest Steve Martin, before making the iconic walk up Broad Street to the Bellevue for dinner, dancing and fun. The Anniversary Ball is a White Tie event, with a very strict dress code with no room for interpretation. Even the photographers who shoot the event are required to adhere by the dress code of White Tie and full length gowns. That being said, lets see who the stand outs of the evening were as decided by a PhillyChitChat panel. Funds from the gala go to the restoration fund for the Academy of Music building

Marilyn Russell, WOGL in a stunning glittery gown was my date for the evening.

This photo doesn’t do Alissa Frederico‘s dress justice as I forgot to change my white balance on my camera with Alex Holley scarlet red silk satin strapless gown.

Hair of the Dog Hot Dress Hot Mess Hot Time Benefiting Autism

I’m tardy getting this up after all the Eagles excitement last week.  Saturday, January 20, 2018, the Hair O’The Dog annual event, celebrated twenty-four years of partying in style and giving back through its philanthropic endeavors at the Hilton Hotel at Penns Landing. Nearly 1200 guests came out to support the hottest party of the year, and as always they didn’t disappoint in their fashion sense.

Alisa Frederico, Stylist and blogger at Dressing Jane, with Philadelphia Inquirer’s legendary Elizabeth Wellington, fashion/lifestyle journalist

Rosa Swinton in her spectacular “Beyond Thunderdome” and Carmena Ayo-Davies
Today’s affirmation says Carmena:
God is going to do amazing things in my life this week. #morningaffirmation #mondays change your mind frame, you change your life.

Cash Cash entertained the crowd as did the Eagles Pep Rally Band, and DJ Casper.  Hair O’ The Dog always benefits a local deserving charity, and as this year’s beneficiary was The Center for Autism, the oldest Autism treatment center in the country.

Longtime friends Dan Cronin (r) and Rob Molinaro created Hair O’ The Dog in 1995 as a way for friends in the industry to celebrate the new year together a few weeks after New Year’s Eve, and each year since this glamorous-gala has grown in size and importance.
Mike and Mike from Fox 29
A pair of Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders were on hand to celebrate the night

Robin Carter RCB with a spectacular splash of color

Jacen Bowman, Makeup artist Shades Of Jacen
he does magic for Alex Holley

Speaking of spectacular, Jennifer Sherlock is the BEST DRESSED of this year’s Hair of The Dog.

Josh Whisler and Kass Dahlquist (oh I was running to a shoot request by my client and didn’t do justice to Kass’ dress. She looked amazing. You know I was in a hurry, she still has a drink in her hand and you know I don’t allow too many people to keep drinks in their hands)

Eye popping

Paul Pereira blinged out bow tie
No off the hook dresses like Katie Beaver’s ground breaking gown years earlier, but gorgeous gowns abound
Dancing, Dancing, Dancing
Not Eagles Cheerleaders, but just as popular

PhillyChitChatter: Celebs in Philly; Eagles Celebrations; Bradley Cooper, Bridget Foy Rebuilds

PhillyChitChatter: Celebs in Philly; Eagles Celebrations; Bradley Cooper, Bridget Foy Rebuilds

Good Thursday Morning, hope you were all able to settle down from the tremendous celebration of the the Eagles capturing the NFC Championship. It definitely took me a few days to float down to earth, but I am wearing my championship hat everyday and humming #FlyEaglesFly every day.

Minnesota’s Metro Transit made good on their friendly bet with SEPTA to change their “wallpaper” on their twitter account to feature a Philadelphia bus with the Eagles logo on it.

Aramark, who has the food contract at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota has unveiled new food items to be sold celebrating the taste-buds for the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots match up #SuperBowl
http://www.startribune.com/bubble-waffles-revival-pork-belly-new-foods-at-u-s-bank-stadium-unveiled-ahead-of-super-bowl/470957103/

Speaking of Eagles,  6-5, 241-pound Philadelphia Eagles Defensive end Bryan Braman (2nd from left), LtoR Josh Bryan, Cindy Garnick, CEO of Garnick Entertainment and Media Group and Publicist Sean Stellato agent to both Eagle and Patriots! Braman spent the day clothes shopping stopping at Mitchell & Ness, getting a custom suit from Distante Clothing and then heading for lunch with his friends. The next day Braman appeared on WMCN in Cherry Hill, NJ with team mate Billy Brown. The duo chatted about healthy eating with Eraldo Maglara, Celebrity Fitness Trainer, Author (The Real Fountain of Youth ) and TV Host of Healthy Lifestyle With Eraldo and the upcoming Super Bowl on February 4.

Philly’s Bradley Cooper was spotted playing with his baby Lea de Seine on Sunset Beach just south of Los Angeles Tuesday wearing his favorite teams jersey, as the heartthrobs girlfriend Irina Shayk looked on. (TMZ)

Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan, and several former NFL players – Curt Menefee, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw headed to South Philly last week for a Philly Cheesesteak. They were also spotted at DelFrisco’s as well as the Ritz Carlton’s lounge as well as dining at Aqimero

Actor Josh Duhamel‏ was spotted at the Ritz Carlton and posed for a photo with Kimmie Ragone.
Who says those Eagles fans were anything but nice to those Viking fans.

Bridget Foy’s was gutted by a fire October 25, 2017, devastating now only the Foy’s but the community that loves them. There was an amazing outpouring from the community, and regulars to the iconic South Street eatery. Today they put this rendering of the new place up on their FB page. Sadly the original building wasn’t able to be saved, but the new building looks remarkably the same, but better. Look at those awesome big windows on the first floor. When I spoke with Bridget Foy late last year, she told me the kitchen now be located in the basement, and the space on the right side where the kitchen used to be, will be used for more outdoor seating. It’s just a matter of time before our favorite spot, and Alex Holley’s favorite Easter parade viewing spot is open again.

Speaking of heartthrobs, Phillies World Series Champ Cole Hamels and his wife, country songwriter Heidi Hamels were at last nights Sixers game. Congrats to the Sixers who won the game over the Chicago Bulls. Thanks to Cindy Webster, PR for CBS Radio for capturing the moment.

What a great tail gate party on Sunday with Cindy Webster, CBS Philly. Ray Pennacchia, Senior Vice President at NovaCare, Rhea Hughes, CBS Philly and Ted Simon, Esq, with photo bomber Mayor Jim Kenney

Last Friday boxer Bernard Hopkins stopped by Ted Simon, Esq office to sign boxing gloves, which will be donated to a charity raising money for an elementary school
Many of my friends, including Dr. Thanuja Hamilton, caught Rufus Wainwright at the Kimmel Center where he performed with the Philly Pops. The next morning she headed to a family wedding in DC and ran into the vocalist, composer, and songwriter who was headed to his next gig in Virgina.

For more PhillyChitChatter come back on Sunday. In the meantime tomorrow I’ll be posting Best Dressed Photos from Hair of the Dog held last Saturday night.

Eagles Fans Get Lit on Broad Street Celebrating The NFC Win

Eagles Fans Get Lit on Broad Street Celebrating The NFC Win

We are not done yet celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles won on Sunday night against the Vikings to capture the NFC Championship Game. I placed a lot of photos from the celebratory night in outlets, with links to them at the bottom. In the meantime here are a few more.

I ran into my sister’s friend at The Blue Duck on Broad

It was a fantastic party

Dude seriously if you didn’t want to be in the photo with these guys you could have said no, or maybe you just wanted to see if I’d publish it. You must not know me, I photographed celebrities in NYC for 5 years. These were the money shots!!

I had a great time at McGillin’s as well, but the best party, the one not to miss happens at Tavern on Broad. So much fun, people are really nice,

the booze is reasonable and when we win the Super Bowl, you just roll out the door and there’s Broad Street.

I need this suit, does it come in a 3x large. I went to buy a T Shirt, and they do not.
I got a hat.
I like a guy that brings his own boom box and crowd
Fireworks and girl on a light pole. See her on left hanging on for dear life?
I was standing next to Drew Smith, NBC10 while the largest toilet paper stream floated down from who knows where. I think we all want to know what brand that is
A beginning of a wonderful mummy
I learned a new word, these two kept yelling – take a photo of us, we’re Yunks!! Eventually they explained they were from Manayunk

He came prepared
WHY Can’t we be Friends, Why Can’t We Be Friends…. We can!!
Jenny from the block, or as I like to call her my editor from Metro Philly
crowds were just streaming up Broad Street towards City Hall
OH I see he has an Eagles head
Mike and Renee are HAPPY
Broad Street is LIT!! as Jeniece Armstrong wrote on one of my posts Sunday night.

WAWA was packed, in 2008 this was the site of Robinson Luggage, and it didn’t fare as well

What an amazing celebration, there was no trouble as the crowd partied in the street from 930ish til a bit after 130 when the police
announced for people to please go home. They did, and the next day the street was clean and open for business.

Check out these sites to see if I caught you in the act of joy

17 Favorite Photos of 2017 From Hot PA Guy to Carson Wentz

I like to post the best of 2017 photos in 2018, when more of you are at your desk. Here goes….

Wentz
Hot Production Assistant Guy on M Night Shyamalan’s movie Glass. The photo went VIRAL and his story was picked up by the Metro, who even did a Q&A with him. His now in Atlanta, assisting on another movie making hearts flutter.

Sunday another hot guy I made famous, is getting married. Geoff Pierce met his future wife Samantha Keenan, in directly from my write up, they tell me.

The winner for the best dressed for the 90s party at the Phila Flower Show, which is coming up again in a few
weeks March 3 – March 11

The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention Gala 2017, this year they’re honoring Eddie Tully. Tickets on sale now.

Jenna Communications had a clever hook to promote The Plaza Grande Showcases the Revitalization of the Historical Garden State Park Racetrack in a Media Tour. They brought in a former horse jockey who rode at Garden State Park, to chat about the good old days. He rode a horse in the “dog park” on the new site, which used to be where the stables were. It was great visuals and made for some interesting stories while still promoting the 55plus housing.
Lynsie and Evan Solomon’s wedding in Anguila. Great time. Sad face this restaurant was destroyed in hurricane Irma.
Event of the year – Marian Anderson Award with legends Dionne Warwick, Kenny Gamble and Clive Davis.

The wedding of Chris Konopka and Maria Papadakis
Erica Lee and Rodney McLeod Jr. at Zarwin Baum’s March Madness

Ron Harper, Elaine I. Grobman and Frank Giordano at The Pink Tie Ball

Trish Gohl, founder of No Dog Gets Left Behind with a dog that will be paired with a veteran.
Snow, it was beautiful, and very unusual to happen in December. Now I am ready for Spring. I was in Florida this past week
so hopefully when I return home to Philly tonight it won’t be anything like this.
Loved this Safian & Rudolph engagement contest, as well as their & Bench

Thank you M Night for having me as one of your house photographers for Shyamaween 2017 what a dream come true. Here’s a story I did on CBSPhilly as well as the photos at the bottom of article.
