Philly gays and friends bonded in the name of charity to raise funds for the Gay Bowl Committee and National Multiple Sclerosis Society‘s first annual Flip Cup Tournament 
held at Field House last Friday night. I sent a few photos over to G Philly on Monday, but I also did a video, which you’ll find at the bottom of the page.

 

Hotel Sofitel Philadelphia recently hosted a Wild Beauty of the Savannes Art Exhibit launch party.  Still life paintings from Marianne Maury-Kauffman were unveiled as guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres  and drinks.  

 

It was the official opening reception for” Savannes”, the new exhibition of art on display in the lobby until Fall 2014. The art was curated by G&O Art Agents. The artist’s name is Marianne Maury Kaufmann and she is from France. 

The art is inspired by the natural beauty of northern Africa. The event
was a cocktail party for art enthusiasts and Philadelphia VIPs. They sampled
new Spring cocktails from Liberte Lounge and hors d’oeuvres from the new
Spring menu.

 Red Mango formerly occupied the spot at 15th and Locust Streets, but closed unceremoniously 15 months after opening, in October 2013
 

You may have heard that Plage Tahiti is moving, and merging with it’s sister store Knit Wit, located  1729 Chestnut St. 

I guess they didn’t have a sign that said moving, instead there’s this very dramatic, eye catching sign announcing they lost their lease. Good news for you the markdowns are already on and between 60% – 90% through June 30, that’s 2.5 months of savings.

Agriculture) teamed up for the 3rd time to bring you Philly Farm & Food Fest.  Featuring over 120 local farmers,
food artisans and sustainable businesses, attendees will be able to
taste, shop, and learn their way through a variety of lectures,
demonstrations and guided tastings.

This is like a ThrowBackThursday Post, cause it happened a month ago and it’s Thursday.

The American Red Cross held its 14th annual Gala Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park. More than 1,000 social, civic and business leaders attended the “red tie” event which featured cuisine from 30 of the finest restaurants in our area.

House – The Center for Disaster Recovery, a one-of-a-kind short-term
housing facility in University City.

fires, floods, and other disasters.  Red Cross

The Philadelphia Social Season is in full swing, and I’ve been hitting up as many events as I can fit in.
