The Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe announce the 2012 Audi FEASTIVAL will be held on
Wednesday, September 12, 2012. The 2012 Audi FEASTIVAL will expose the
region’s most influential business leaders and tastemakers to the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival by uniting dynamic and cutting edge artistic performances with world-class restaurants. This year’s event will be held at Pier 9, located at 121 North Columbus Boulevard from 6:00-9:00 PM. More than eight hundred attendees are expected for what promises to be the cultural event of the year. Late last month they held their patron party, but time slipped away and I forgot to post it.

Feastival will once again be co-hosted by three culinary luminaries, founding members and friends: Stephen Starr, Michael Solomonov, and Audrey Claire Taichman. Event co-chairs this year are proud new parents Beka and Jesse Rendell (center), and Real Estate Attorney, Tony Forte, Saul Ewing. Rounding out this picture are Tom McGrath, Editor of Philadelphia Magazine (my boss) and David Lipson, president of Metro Corp. (my other boss at Philly Mag.)

Did you know that Philadelphia has architectural tours? I used to be a tour guide for them, and Holly works for Landmark Preservation which facilitates the tours but that’s not how I met her. The tours are fabulous, they’re $10 and you will learn about our fair City. There are tours for each section of the City. You’ll learn about why did they name the street Callowhill? The difference between a Federal Building and a Colonial Building. Why did it take 30 years to build Phila City Hall, and why does William Penn face northeast? Tours are Sat, Sun and Wed evening. Tours are about 90 mins long, thank god you didn’t take my tour, I talk about and sometimes it was 2 – 3hrs.

And then after this photo was taken Monica and I went off on my birthday party dinner at OPA, and then she slipped away in the middle of the night to go to Boston for her interview with Clio which is owned by Ken Oringer. Sad but she couldn’t find a pastry job here in Philly. The Philadelphia Film Society it’s hosting a movie screening of “The Words” starring Philly’s own Bradley Cooper. Join or Upgrade to the PFS SPOTLIGHT CIRCLE for the chance see this movie BEFORE it hits theaters for FREE with star Bradley Cooper and directors/writers Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal in attendance on August 27, 2012 at the Prince Music Theater 7;30PM. You should join the Phila Film Society too. You’ll get a chance to see lots of movies before they hit the screen, plus enjoy great discussion and meet other movie goers.
