Election Day and The Best Dressed Election Night Party Ever

Crazy busy past couple days.

Yesterday was election day, and I decided at the last minute to go check out 4th Street Deli, where for years it was traditional for politicians, those in office and those running for office, would break bread at noon. I had gone in the past and everyone went, this year it seemed to be more of the new guard, and the traditionalists.

I knew Allan Domb was going and to me he was a candidate I really wanted to win. I’ve known him for about a decade, much better in the past year or so, but I’ve always really liked him. I know a little bit about his story, rags to riches, and that doesn’t happen over night. It happens with a lot of hard work. A guy who’s known him a lot longer than I, is Mark Howard, former newsman from 6ABC. Seems he and Allan were once roommates in earlier years. Who’s writing that book?

David Cohen and George Norcross chatting
Although Kenney never showed, his big head did. Seems Kenney and the new/old guard headed to Relish, which was his fav spot during the primaries too. Some grumbled that this might be the last of the big time gatherings as it represents the old style of politics. I kinda like traditions, if you really wanted to get rid of some relics from the past how about that Rizzo statue at the MSB building, Anywho…

if this is the old guard politicians, I don’t want this tradition to end.

That night I headed to Allan Domb’s Election Night Party, don’t call it Victory Party cause even during this “speech”, Allan wasn’t taking a chance to declare victory, although it was nearing 10PM.

The man who is the silent investor in Starr restaurants, held his party at the former Star Group’s headquarters, a building Allan Domb owns. You can rent the 18, 000 sq foot office yourself for $45,000 a month.

Party Pixs: 10th Year Anniversary Party at Positano Coast in Old City

Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti (212 Walnut St.) celebrated their 10th anniversary Wednesday night and invited 500 of their closest friends to the popular Italian/Seafood restaurant bar.

Rosita Lamberti, Operations Manager for Lamberti Restaurants with Amina Wirjosemito and Meredith Bloom at the 10th Anniversary Party of Positano Coast in Old City on May 13, 2015.
John Hoffman and Adrian Jimene at the 10th Anniversary Party of Positano Coast in Old City on May 13, 2015. Congrats to Adrian who recently got engaged to his girlfriend in San Francisco. Sad for them though, when they went to Best Buys to pick up a romantic CD, their car was broken into and a bag containing the ring (which hadn’t been given to her yet, and the camera was stolen.) She couldn’t understand why he was so upset over the camera being stolen, until he told her what he was planning to do the next day at Big Sur.

Alex Holley, Samantha Scott and Jasmine Ingram at the 10th Anniversary Party of Positano Coast in Old City on May 13, 2015.
There was live entertainment including a DJ. Plus 5 food stations for guests to enjoy.

Mary Kay Raschella, Lindsay Fravitz and Kacie Kelley at the 10th Anniversary Party of Positano Coast in Old City on May 13, 2015. Not much on the scene anymore, these ladies have moved comfortably into their careers, and Kacie married and has a cute kid. An hour later their old friend
(Moi, Craig Robinson and Aly at Delfrisco’s on Thurs night)
Aly Green, who had moved to LA 3 years ago, popped in to surprise the trio as she was in town visiting her sister at her new store Boutique W on East Passyunk.
There was dancing
and the usual suspects kicking up their heels like Alisa Martino (who’s friends surprised her with a birthday cake to celebrate her big day TODAY), Jill Rizen, Marilyn Kellmer, Erin Elmore and her sister Ashley Elmore. Both Elmore girls, reality shot personalities, blasted on to the social circle in Philly about 7 years ago. These days their lives are full being moms and married to great guys.

Christopher Lorenc and Rachel Ortiga at the 10th Anniversary Party of Positano Coast in Old City on May 13, 2015.

Amber and Pedro Gomes at the 10th Anniversary Party of Positano Coast in Old City on May 13, 2015. Coming up on 2 years since their wedding, the stylish duo is heading for Italy and the Positano Coast. Can’t wait to see those photos. Congratulations to Positano Coast. It’s a delicious restaurant, that then transforms itself into a hot night life spot. And who doesn’t love when the windows are thrown open letting the cool breeze in. Plus there’s a little terrace with couches for intimate chats.
