Philly Gossip

Cinder Blume’s, Jessica Boyington, Preakness at Piazza is no More,

Happy Spring, last year it snowed. Today we’re getting an epic rainstorm. It’s Thursday, let’s gossip….

But look the Cherry Trees are starting to bloom at the Art Museum

There’s a New Kid On The Block

Speaking about bloom, a few weeks ago I wrote about one of my favorite places to grab a cider and a pizza, Cinder Copper & Lace closing for renovations, and posted a few pixs which looked like they were changing their name and concept. I just received a press release from Kory Aversa, Aversa PR and it’s true. ” From the heat of the glowing embers will rise up a stylish and colorful bar and restaurant that is designed to be light, fun, casual and yet sophisticated. Blume will open in approximately three to five weeks, and launch with lunch and dinner service seven days a week. Look for boozy brunch, happy hour and late night menus to follow later in spring.” “Craft Concepts Group is excited to announce our newest food and drink concept, Blume, at 1500 Locust Street,” said Teddy Sourias. “We are aiming to create a fun, light, energetic and comfortable concept – that also puts the focus on cocktails and natural wine, which is new for us as a company. – Congrats to them. Looks like it will be Rosé All Day at Blume.

Speaking of rose, my friend Erin Como posted this photo over the weekend of her at a Wawa, near where she lives in DC. I noted everyone’s favorite traffic gal Jessica Boyington like it. Why that is significant is everyone has been writing me to ask what Jessica is up to, and why she isn’t on NBC10 anymore. I am in the dark as much as you, but I did find this article published by Nick Vadala , at Philly.com. I’m sure Jessica would love to hear from you, and although her social media has been silent since 2/7/19, she’s still active on it.

A Rose By Any Other Name

Another popular eating spot underwent a refresh this winter – Rouge. I stopped by earlier this week to see the unveil and it’s beautiful. The bar has been relocated to the wall where a banquette used to be, which allowed Rob Waserman to add 20 additional seats for dining. The menu and cocktails are new as well; the only item that came over from the old menu was Rouge’s very popular burger. I loved the new carpet as well, with it’s vines and rose colored butterflies.
Spotted Around Town

Speaking of dining out Julianne Moore was spotted at Parc on Monday night, she’s in town promoting her new movie “Gloria Bell” which is getting rave reviews. Tyler Perry dined at Scarpetta, he’s in town appearing in Tyler Perrys Madeas Farewell which is at The Met this week. Dolph Lundgren in town for an autograph session, was spotted there the week before. Last week Desean Jackson celebrated his new contract with the Philadelphia Eagles with a steak at Capital Grille. Soon the eatery, which is celebrating 17 years at Broad and Chestnut, will be opening their sidewalk dining area.

I’m Not Horsing Around

I chatted with the organizers of Preakness on the Piazza, a popular event which took place annually for 6 years at the Piazza in Northern Liberties on the 3rd Saturday of May, and benefited the National Multiple Sclerosis Society . The event attracted a millennial crowd dressed in their Derby finest. Despite the rain that seemed to fall every year, the event was always packed and raised nearly $100,000 every year for MS. Geoff Gross, the co-founder of Preakness at the Piazza, tells me he wants to do something different this year, which would still benefit MS, perhaps in the Fall so stay tuned. But don’t fret I have alternatives where you can still wear your bonnets and springtime outfits.

Bow Ties, Big Hats & Bourbon: A Kentucky Derby Party head on over to West Laurel Hill Cemetery & Funeral Home on May 4th for their annual Kentucky Derby Party. Proceeds from the event will benefit Gateway HorseWorks, a nonprofit which offers transformative Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Services to children, adults, and families in a healing, farm-based environment. (INFO) Also check out other events West Laurel Hill will be having this year to celebrate their 150th Anniversary.

If you’re looking to party on Preakness Day, celebrate 89 years of horseracing on the Main Line. With everything from amazing tailgates, fancy hats and bow ties to the parade of antique carriages and thoroughbreds racing for the finish, Radnor Hunt Races is a day filled with elegance, excitement and fun. I’ve attended for the past 8 years, and it really is fun, it was odd, even though it seemed to rain on the Preakness on the Piazza in the evening, it was often dry at the Radnor Hunt Races held during the day. The event is held rain or shine, and last year everyone looked very fashionable in their boots. Check out the photos here.

Another event happening on Preakness day, is right here in our own back yard – The Rittenhouse Row Festival. Who says you can’t wear your Derby finest to stroll Philly’s Rodeo Drive. Don’t forget this Saturday is the annual
Rittenhouse Row Spring Fashion Crawl 1-4.
Fashion is always in bloom! Jason Matthew Salon, along with numerous Rittenhouse Row retailers, will host simultaneous in-store parties with cocktails and special drinks from our best mixologists. Think First Friday, but on Saturday, and shopping for clothes for spring… See you back here on Friday for more PhillyChitChat, and if I’ve photographed you this week I will post the links from all the parties on Saturday as I do every week. Don’t forget your umbrella today….

Mortal Kombat To Film Here, Radio News * Marilyn Russell * 1210 WPHT

We made it. Happy Friday everyone. Social Season is heating up, and if you’re here to see your photo I took this week I will have links to all the placements Saturday. Today we’re going to chit chat about what’s happening in Philly, and a little Philly Gossip.

I’ve heard more than one rumor that a re-start of the movie “Mortal Kombat” is to begin filming in Philadelphia in April. Additional rumors are that it will star Ryan Reynolds, Vin Diesel, Megan Fox, Ronda Rousey, and Michael Jai White. Write Greg Russo tweeted today that everything is in place except for the OK by Warner Brothers.

That’s Nearly A Wrap as M. Night Shyamalan ‘s untitled 10 part Apple TV Series completed scenes with principle actors Rupert Grint and Lauren Ambrose on the 1600 block of Locust Street at St. Mark’s today. I’m told there are still a few smaller scenes to shoot, but not with the two stars. Night’s last project – Glass, which also filmed here, is still on the big screen. A huge success it’s brought in: $244,167,957 worldwide to date.

Congrats to the Greater Philadelphia Film Office for Philadelphia beinging named The Best Places to Live and Work as a Moviemaker 2019: Big Cities

Frank Lario, former morning co-host at Beasley Media Group country WXTU, can now be heard at WOGL 98.1 with Marilyn Russell in the morning. Lario, a radio veteran had previously been with WMMR and 94.1 WYSP. By the looks of the above photo, everyone is on the right page. Laura Boss, WOGL 98.1 producer, Marilyn Russell and Frank Lario.

Speaking of radio, internationally acclaimed master stylist and educator Josh DeMarco, winner of a multitude of national and international hair awards and owner of DAPR Grooming Parlour is host of Philly’s new on-air hub/mecca of style and fashion one hour radio show every Saturday at 2PM on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT called EVERYTHING STYLE & FASHION. He’s joined by Creative Director and Fashion designer Steve Sanchez, where they’ll feature guests representing the Who’s Who in the worlds of lifestyle, hair, beauty, fashion design and more. Who knows you might even hear me on there chitchatting about celebrities, fashion and Philly Gossip.

Have a great day, and remember if you have any good gossip, celebrity sightings or you just want to chit chat hit me up at HughE@ PhillyChitChat.com

Eric Roberts, Snow Job & Kevin Bacon in Town

I hope you’re out getting your bread and eggs as snowmaggeden is upon us.

On Twitter fir means for until they get an edit button

Actor, Philadelphia native Kevin Bacon was in town over the weekend to attend 45th Masterman’s School reunion, which was held at Han Dynasty in Old City pictured here Han Chiang, owner with Harry Spivak, Bryce’s Catering, one of the co-organizers of the event. 50 people came, including Jim Friedlich who’s wife Melissa Friedlich was one of the organizers. Jessica Molly Brown, principal of Masterman now came as a couple of our teachers from the 60s and 70s, Mr. Melton and Mr. Cohen. A few who had rsvp’d but couldn’t make it were Michael Coard (attorney and activist), Judy Fiest Moore (running for City Council, a VP at Garces) We had chicken potstickers, Dan Dan noodles, Szechuan cucumbers, salt and peppers wings, sauteed snow pea shoots, salt and pepper wild mushrooms, veggie spring rolls, scallion pancakes, pork buns and a few more delicious dishes.

Eric Roberts in Philly on the set of The Arrangement, here he’s with Susan Helfrich, co-owner of Breaking Glass Pictures.
Filmed on location throughout Philadelphia (including sets in University City and King of Prussia) by local father/son filmmakers Andrew Hunsicker (producer) and Jake Hunsicker (director), The Arrangement is a supernatural thriller following two detectives as they attempt to solve a string of murders. But, as they get closer to the truth, they begin to discover the culprit may be something other than human. The film stars cinema legend Eric Roberts, who graced Philadelphia this weekend to film intricate scenes, alongside local talent including Aralyn Anderson (Netflixâs Maniac), Deborah Twiss, Brian Anthony Wilson, Jennifer M. Kay, Danny Donnelly, Beverly Gunn, and Allison Kessler. Fresh off filming of the locally produced horror film Epidemic, Andrew Hunsicker also plays a supporting role in the film, while guiding his son Jake on his first directing venture. A modern-day retelling of Faust, The Arrangementâs cast and crew is also entirely comprised of Philadelphia talent aside from Mr. Roberts, a truly fitting testament to the local film scene and the city’s dedication to cinema. The Arrangement is set to complete filming this year.

Creed 2; Reality Star Lisa Vanderpump Appearance, Kristen Alderson +++

Philly Gossip: Creed 2; Reality Star Lisa Vanderpump Appearance, Kristen Alderson +++

Good Sunday Gossip…

Today is awfully gloomy, but yesterday was glorious and how lucky it was a Saturday to enjoy.

Lisa Vanderpump of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Vanderpump Rules” reality shows was in Ardmore yesterday and over 1100 people waited to meet her.
And she stayed the entire time
To greet each one and pose for photos.

Creed’s 2 Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu is one of the nicest guys on the set and in the streets, as is Dolph Lundgren, so if you see them stop them and say hi.  Altho Sly is right up there. All last week cast, crew and extras put in 12 to 14 hour days, Friday night when it was a wrap Stallone thanked everyone, and gave some lucky extras a handshake of thanks, and one lucky girl a love tap fist in the cheek when asked. No kisses though, he said his wife has strict orders. I don’t blame her, do you?

Congrats to my friend Kristen Alderson‘s , #GH and #OLTL alum who begins performances in The Marvelous Wonderettes at The Kirk Theatre 410 West 42nd St. New York, NY 10019 this week.

Congrats NBC10’s Jacqueline London for being on the premiere cover of Crown Magazine.

Check back with PhillyChitChat tomorrow to see which fun parties we covered this week….

Creed 2 News, Koreana Food Coming to Center City and more Chit Chat

Creed 2 News, Koreana Food Coming to Center City and more Chit Chat

Warm welcome to spring, sure signs of it in Philly, Logan Fountain has been turned on, Rittenhouse Square packed at lunch time and in the evening Rittenhouse restaurant row packed with people eating al fresco.  Hope to see everyone on Easter Sunday for the South Street promenade which begins at 12:30PM at Passyunk and South Streets.
Michael B Jordan was spotted running the Schuylkill River Banks Boardwalk last week.

Creed 2 starts principle filming Monday April 2 at Sun Center Studios in Aston, Pa with a cast of thousands of extras. I think they’re filming the finale fight first, not only because of the huge amount of extras on set, but because the actors have been working out and pumping up for the past three weeks at the Sporting Club where they also have a boxing ring. The kind of training they’re doing isn’t the kind of training you can do while you’re filming a movie.

They’ll be at Sun Center Studios until the the middle of the third week of April filming, but may pop out to do occasional filming around town during those three weeks. After April 15 look for more filming in and around Philadelphia. You might have a chance to see them as we all did during the first Creed. Look for Creed 2 to come out November 2018.

David Whitaker, Choose Chicago, Ellen Yin (Outstanding Restaurateur), Clare Reichenbach, James Beard Foundation, Michael Solomonov (Outstanding Service Zahav) and Rising Star Chef of the Year Camille Cogswell, Zahav

On Wednesday the cast of Creed 2 including Dolph Lundgren, Michael B Jordan and Tessa Thompson had dinner at Zahav, in old city, the restaurant by Michael Solomonov or Solo as his friends call him. It’s so good there. The restaurant just got a James Beard Award Nomination for best service. James Beard Awards are like the Oscars for Food. I covered the nominations last week, which were held here in Philly, hosted by Visit Philly and held at Parc restaurant. Also nominated was Ellen Yin, of High Street & a.kitchen for best restaurateur.  Rich Landau, chef/partner with his wife, Kate Jacoby, of Vedge restaurant who was nominated for best chef in the mid-Atlantic region.

Milk House closed 2 weeks ago as I reported on Chit Chat; Yesterday I noticed a new sign on the window:
Seems Koreana Food is moving in. They currently have a place in University City.

Koreana Food offers a wide variety of traditional Korean Food.Yes 1818 Market Street did get a new sign. Sleek, modern and colorful.

Dolph Lundgren, Shania Twain, Monique Braxton and more Philly Gossip

Dolph Lundgren, Shania Twain, Monique Braxton and more Philly Gossip

Welcome to Spring, I hear it’s snowing again in the Western Suburbs today. I do hope all this late season snow doesn’t affect the cherry trees which are just starting to bud like the ones along the Schuylkill River Thursday, as collegiate scullers practiced, brrrrr

Dolph Lundgren and Michael B Jordon were spotted at Scarpetta on Rittenhouse Square last Tuesday. Earlier in the week Dolph posed with a young fan at the Logan Hotel.

Perhaps they were both attending the Logan Hotels’s new Once Upon A Time, once a month (4th Sunday) on Sunday’s children’s reading
hour with “James Logan” himself. Milk and cookies were on the hours.

Spotted: Shania Twain was seen a few times since October at Vedge, she told fans that spotted her that she has friends in Philly and comes here quite often.  I know where I’m going to eat late night July 12.

While walking through Rittenhouse Square the other night, I noticed the top of the police “station” was newly lit. Nice job.
Saturday night in Philly was hopping. There was the Red Ball (Red Cross), The Red & White Gala (LLS), Black Tie Gay Bingo and 2018 Philadelphia UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball|UNCF, where The Today Show’s Sheinelle Jones was honored with the Legacy Award. As some of you know, I was on air at Fox 29 from 2011 – 2017, four of those years I would do celebrity gossip and scene chat on Good Day with Sheinelle and Mike Jerrick (who returns to Good Day Monday). I was so happy to hang with them last night, and I’m so grateful to both of them for all their mentor-ship. Also close by was Tori Williams, producer from Fox 29 and good friend of Sheinelle’s; plus Monique Braxton, formerly of NBC10 Philadelphia. She’s recently retired to care for her family, especially dad in his 90s.  I’ll have the photos posted this week from these events and will share the links with you.

No color ever looked so appropriate on these ladies at The Red Ball

In the meantime have a great day, and go and make some memories.

#PCCBUZZ Restaurant Week, Philly Fashion Week, Food Stories & Tidbits

Good Friday – Let’s check out what’s happening around town including a bit of gossip.

Philly Fashion Week is happening right now. The kick off was on Wednesday night; last night there was a fashion show at Century 21 hosted by Melissa Magee, 6ABC.
Thanks to Marissa Reale for these shots.

Last night I saw that Dilworth Park has new lighted seats that change color.

Sunday is the last day for you to skate at Rothman Ice Rink as it’s closing for the season.

But don’t fret Center City District is readying Dilworth Park for the nest season of fun, I noticed they’ve installed these cool lighted seats. They flash different colors too for making it that more festive.

I don’t know about you this past weeks taste of summer had me heading to the Philly Zoo. I even bought a membership. They start at $85 and admits you and a guest, plus you get free parking.
BTW did you notice the “Lateran” is lit on top of the Comcast Technology Center
Panda Express is now open at 10th & Market Streets
BTW over in the UK KFC had a problem with their new delivery service and many of their stores ran out of the main course – chicken.
This week they took advertisements out in the paper publishing the above photo. I think they’re pretty cool.
BTW A local chef told me there’s a shortage of bananas and humus in our neck of the woods.

Speaking of Food….
Beet Salad from Paradiso

Tuesday ToDo: Jordan Matthews, Village People Sing, Fashion Events

It’s Tuesday, I forgot a few ChitChat items yesterday and thought I’d do another column today. Plus added a few Tuesday – ToDo listing events that are upcoming.

Congrats to former Eagles player Jordan Matthews and his new wife Cheyna Matthews (an American soccer player who plays as a forward for Washington Spirit in the NWSL) on their wedding, which took place in Nashville this past weekend.
A few of Jordan’s former Eagles teammates Trey Burton, Zach Ertz, Jordan Hicks, and Chris Maragos headed out to celebrate the new couple.

Congrats to Rocky on his new baby sister who will arrive in July. Larry Bradley and Kristin Huxta Bradley are pretty excited too. Kristin is Director of Communications, East for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and used to be a Cashman girl a few years back.

Thanks to Schulson Collection for their generous donation to Komen Philadelphia. In October they sold a cocktail in to raise funds in the name of fighting breast cancer, called “Pink Lady”. Michael Schulson and Nina Tinari Schulson hosted a luncheon for leaders, and volunteers of Komen Philadelphia at Double Knot last week to present the check.

The venerable Joan Sheep boutique is hosting their annual Women of Style & Substance celebration tomorrow night. Fashionistas, business leaders and trail blazing women will be honored at the annual event, which is open to the public.

Speaking of fashion, it’s that time again for the Philly Fashion Week to kick off a series of the most talented Philadelphia fashionable designers in Philly. The first event is 8PM Wednesday with the Lux Street Wear Show at 2300 Arena , 2300 S Swanson St., Philadelphia, PA 19148. Check out the website for more info. Philly Fashion Week

Our Night Out, a fun LGBTQ networking event is next Tuesday at Cinder 1500 Locust Street. Enjoy lite bites, and a cash bar while meeting a greeting with new friends.

Did you get your tickets yet for the Philly Flower Show. Don’t forget to dance the night away at  Flowers after Hours with the Village People and DJ Robert Drake on Saturday March 3.

Thurs Chit Chat: Fly Eagles Fly, Perry Milou, Jon Bon Jovi; Boat House Row Problems

Eagles fever is at a pitch. I don’t know how many videos I’ve gotten of groups singing “Fly Eagles Fly”, and so exciting that the response has been huge with my Steve Martin video going viral with over 100ks impression. So many photos, so much fun, I’m exhausted. Hopefully the players are getting adequate sleep. BTW follow me on social media,  for nearly 12 hours of Wing Bowl coverage. This is the year we have all been waiting for….phillychitchat

American pop artist  Perry Milou will be finishing touches on his Eagles masterpiece “Next Dog Up” inside the Joan Shepp storefront window Saturday, February 3rd 2-6pm. The store will be also having an Eagles-themed “fashion tailgate” with a special promotion in-store as well.

I know we’re not supposed to talk about the Eagles victory parade, but yesterday I saw Fred Stein and his son on the Parkway. Who’s Fred Stein, he’s the event producer the City of Philly uses for all there big events. The rumors floated by Crossing Broad that the parade will go up Broad Street, around City Hall to the Art Museum may be true, very unlike what happened with the Phillies game, which went down Market Street around City Hall to the stadium.  CB also said he heard rumors that the parade would be Wednesday, I too heard Wednesday. Someone wanted to book me for an event on Tuesday and I turned them down saying I think the parade will be that day. The person who has a connection to City Hall said he’d heard the parade would be Wednesday as the Chamber of Commerce’s Mayoral Lunch is on Tuesday. Oh that makes sense, it’d be hard to reschedule that and re book the room at the Marriott.  With a win maybe I’ll get another roomful singing #FlyEaglesFly?

Eagles fever was all over the City, and even appeared at the Academy of Music Anniversary Concert & Ball when Mrs. Matthew Hamilton ie Anne Hamilton , draped an Eagles flag around her beautiful, full length gown.
Shot Through The Heart….Jon Bon Jovi is rooting for the Patriots but we’ll let him slide he’s been fighting homelessness in Philly for over a decade now. On April 14th he’ll be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He just created his own wine and this week he was in Philly
On Wednesday SEPTA, Project HOME and the City of Philadelphia cut the ribbon to officially open the new, expanded Hub of Hope in the Center City sub-concourse. Special guest was the legendary rock star Jon Bon Jovi, longtime supporter of fighting homelessness in Philadelphia and friend of Sr. Mary Scullion, who along with many dignitaries at the event wore a green boutineer in honor of the Eagles.  There was no singing Fly Eagles Fly or even saying Go Eagles, as Bon Jovi is a Patriot’s fan and they didn’t want to make the situation awkward for him. He and Sister Mary met because 13 years ago he was in town for a concert. He spotted a homeless man outside his hotel window shivering. He asked his assistant to go help him find shelter, and that’s how he discovered Project Home and met Sister Mary and Joan McConnon , co founders of the program. Ever since he’s been a real patriot to the program. Project Home a nationally recognized organization that provides supportive housing, employment, education and health care to enable chronically homeless and low-income persons to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
Jon Bon Jovi Loves France and Wine (and Now Has His Own Label)

May 3 Bon Jovi is in concert at the Wells Fargo Center

All those Boat House Row Photos you’re seeing for the past two weeks, #FAKENEWS
Boat House Row was only green leading up to the NFC game for one week.

Something that is offensive, Boat House Row is not bleeding green. It’s been two weeks now. If you see photos of it being green it’s not, the LED lights are shining bright white. Why? This is crazy, I thought it was easy to just change the color on them. They were only green for the week leading up to the NFC Championship.
Congrats to Jamie Greubel, Newtown, Pa’s and the women’s USA Bobsled team participating in the Olympics in South Korea later this month.

Mark William Calaway, better known by the ring name The Undertaker, an American professional wrestler signed to WWE and his wife Michelle McCool flew in to Philly on Friday night, and stopped to see Rocky on Saturday afternoon.

Congrats to Geoff Peirce  and Samantha Keenan now Peirce  who were married Sunday a week ago at the Crystal Tea Room. You might recall that Geoff was a guy I photographed doing a series of hard core burpees on the Art Museum steps, the press dubbed him “Hottie on the Art Museum Steps.” He went on to be Philly Famous garnering a lot of press, appearing on Fox 29 and doing push ups with Alex Holley on his back, and then being named one of the sexist singles in Philly by Jeniece Armstrong‘s annual series in the Philly Daily News. Samantha recognized Geoff after all the press, and it was love at first sight. They were nice enough to invite me to their beautiful wedding.

In preparation for the annual Take the Lead event in March, at which PECO is the Lead Sponsor, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP) The 2018 Take the Lead Philadelphia Honorees were feted at a special preview party on January 24 at the Nicole Miller store at the Bellevue.
This year, GSEP will recognize the following women:

PhillyChitChatter: Celebs in Philly; Eagles Celebrations; Bradley Cooper, Bridget Foy Rebuilds

Good Thursday Morning, hope you were all able to settle down from the tremendous celebration of the the Eagles capturing the NFC Championship. It definitely took me a few days to float down to earth, but I am wearing my championship hat everyday and humming #FlyEaglesFly every day.

Minnesota’s Metro Transit made good on their friendly bet with SEPTA to change their “wallpaper” on their twitter account to feature a Philadelphia bus with the Eagles logo on it.

Aramark, who has the food contract at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota has unveiled new food items to be sold celebrating the taste-buds for the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots match up #SuperBowl

Speaking of Eagles,  6-5, 241-pound Philadelphia Eagles Defensive end Bryan Braman (2nd from left), LtoR Josh Bryan, Cindy Garnick, CEO of Garnick Entertainment and Media Group and Publicist Sean Stellato agent to both Eagle and Patriots! Braman spent the day clothes shopping stopping at Mitchell & Ness, getting a custom suit from Distante Clothing and then heading for lunch with his friends. The next day Braman appeared on WMCN in Cherry Hill, NJ with team mate Billy Brown. The duo chatted about healthy eating with Eraldo Maglara, Celebrity Fitness Trainer, Author (The Real Fountain of Youth ) and TV Host of Healthy Lifestyle With Eraldo and the upcoming Super Bowl on February 4.

Philly’s Bradley Cooper was spotted playing with his baby Lea de Seine on Sunset Beach just south of Los Angeles Tuesday wearing his favorite teams jersey, as the heartthrobs girlfriend Irina Shayk looked on. (TMZ)

Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan, and several former NFL players – Curt Menefee, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw headed to South Philly last week for a Philly Cheesesteak. They were also spotted at DelFrisco’s as well as the Ritz Carlton’s lounge as well as dining at Aqimero

Actor Josh Duhamel‏ was spotted at the Ritz Carlton and posed for a photo with Kimmie Ragone.
Who says those Eagles fans were anything but nice to those Viking fans.

Bridget Foy’s was gutted by a fire October 25, 2017, devastating now only the Foy’s but the community that loves them. There was an amazing outpouring from the community, and regulars to the iconic South Street eatery. Today they put this rendering of the new place up on their FB page. Sadly the original building wasn’t able to be saved, but the new building looks remarkably the same, but better. Look at those awesome big windows on the first floor. When I spoke with Bridget Foy late last year, she told me the kitchen now be located in the basement, and the space on the right side where the kitchen used to be, will be used for more outdoor seating. It’s just a matter of time before our favorite spot, and Alex Holley’s favorite Easter parade viewing spot is open again.

Speaking of heartthrobs, Phillies World Series Champ Cole Hamels and his wife, country songwriter Heidi Hamels were at last nights Sixers game. Congrats to the Sixers who won the game over the Chicago Bulls. Thanks to Cindy Webster, PR for CBS Radio for capturing the moment.

What a great tail gate party on Sunday with Cindy Webster, CBS Philly. Ray Pennacchia, Senior Vice President at NovaCare, Rhea Hughes, CBS Philly and Ted Simon, Esq, with photo bomber Mayor Jim Kenney

Last Friday boxer Bernard Hopkins stopped by Ted Simon, Esq office to sign boxing gloves, which will be donated to a charity raising money for an elementary school
Many of my friends, including Dr. Thanuja Hamilton, caught Rufus Wainwright at the Kimmel Center where he performed with the Philly Pops. The next morning she headed to a family wedding in DC and ran into the vocalist, composer, and songwriter who was headed to his next gig in Virgina.

For more PhillyChitChatter come back on Sunday. In the meantime tomorrow I’ll be posting Best Dressed Photos from Hair of the Dog held last Saturday night.
